What makes us distinct here at HeartWay Church is our culture. Culture can be understood as the attitudes and behaviors that define a particular community. Here are three words that accurately summarize who we are and what we’re all about:
Simple: We don’t like complicating things, and neither does anybody else. Our heart’s desire is to offer a church experience that is practical, free of distractions, and that helps people experience God in new and fresh ways. We don’t overload our schedule with lots of different things, but the few things we have decided to do, we give all of our hearts to.
Authentic: The one thing we refuse to do at HeartWay is pretend. We all have issues we’re dealing with, and we don’t think anyone needs to hide those to be a part of our community. Nobody has it all together here. The first step to freedom is honesty, and we want to be a place where people feel comfortable in their own skin without the fear of being judged or criticized because of it.
Open-Minded: We believe the gospel is essential, and everything else is a conversation. We don’t hold our theological beliefs with a closed-fist, but with an open hand. We believe conviction and humility belong together. We want to be a place where people feel safe asking questions. Our heart is not to enforce dogma, but to enable dialogue.
